Urgent appointments

You can request an urgent appointment due to a sudden illness, injury, acute worsening of a chronic illness, or impairment of functional capacity that does not require emergency care but should be attended to in 0–3 days. Urgent appointments with nurses and doctors are available.

Urgent appointments need to be booked in advance. Your need for treatment will be assessed over the phone when booking the appointment.

If you are a foreign citizen, please remember to bring your ID and your European Health Insurance Card (if you have one) with you to the emergency clinic or urgent appointment.

Chat service, matters relating to health or illness (omaep.fi)

You can use the chat service in matters relating to health services. You can chat with a nurse and, if needed, you will be referred to a chat appointment with a doctor.

The chat service is open Mon-Fri from 8:00 to 18:00, and Sat-Sun and mid-week holidays from 9:00 to 17:00.

Labour reception

Labour Ward P01 receives women coming to give birth, pregnant women in need of emergency care, and gynaecological patients needing emergency care when the Gynaecology Outpatient Clinic is closed.
